Legalize Insanity

Anything Goes! Thoughts, news, reviews, about anything thought provoking, inspiring, useful, funny, or something else including books, music, products, health, relationships, technology, travel, internet, marketing, and making money.

First, I give credit to Robin Williams for the phrase "legalize insanity."  I heard him use it on an actors guild show and it stuck in my head.  To me it means, permission to be yourself!  To be free, with no limits.  His ability to be funny is pure genius; he totally lets go.  Thank you!  Laughter is the best medicine.

A great teacher named Abraham was once asked what would happen to the world if everyone just did whatever they wanted to do.  The questioner was concerned that this might create problems and imbalance in the world.  Abraham answered saying there is room in the world for everyone to "follow their bliss" (Joseph Campbell) ie be themself.  In fact, the world would be in perfect harmony.  Let's go for it!

Welcome!  Be yourself!  Be free!

"Surrender: Give in to grace"

Cheryl Richardson - Week 48 - Surrender: Give in to grace

This is an excerpt written by Jerry Thomas from a weekly newsletter from Cheryl Richardson. Great story!

"Besides being an experience of grace, this incident provided one of my earliest lessons on the link between surrendering and receiving divine support. Kushner's advice also spurred a critical shift in my relationship with a Higher Power. To this day, whenever I catch myself equating God with Santa, I remind myself to pray for something far more powerful — the courage and patience to hang in there while my faith is being restored.

If you're going through a difficult time, do yourself a favor: let go and give in to grace. Ask for the wisdom and clarity to meet your challenge with patience and dignity so you can allow the highest and best outcome to occur."

Take Action Challenge

"Is there an area of your life that feels out of control or a situation that's not going according to your plan? This week, practice the art of surrender. Each time you find yourself worrying (or obsessing) about the circumstances, repeat the following: "I surrender knowing that something far greater than I can imagine is on the way." Whether you believe it or not, use this phrase as a mantra, a powerful tool to bring you back into spiritual balance. Before you know it, you'll not only feel more at peace, you'll begin to *see* the power of grace operating in your life!"

Take Action & Trust!
When you let go and trust you'll find more and more support for letting go and trusting. Letting go is not giving up (apathy), it is knowing all is well and everything is unfolding perfectly. JF
