Legalize Insanity

Anything Goes! Thoughts, news, reviews, about anything thought provoking, inspiring, useful, funny, or something else including books, music, products, health, relationships, technology, travel, internet, marketing, and making money.

First, I give credit to Robin Williams for the phrase "legalize insanity."  I heard him use it on an actors guild show and it stuck in my head.  To me it means, permission to be yourself!  To be free, with no limits.  His ability to be funny is pure genius; he totally lets go.  Thank you!  Laughter is the best medicine.

A great teacher named Abraham was once asked what would happen to the world if everyone just did whatever they wanted to do.  The questioner was concerned that this might create problems and imbalance in the world.  Abraham answered saying there is room in the world for everyone to "follow their bliss" (Joseph Campbell) ie be themself.  In fact, the world would be in perfect harmony.  Let's go for it!

Welcome!  Be yourself!  Be free!

Living in the Moment

(Excerpt from Joy Riding the Universe, by Sheradon Bryce, page 138)

Sharing with yourself is when you quit judging yourself and you just be yourself. What more intimate way can you share with something than to be it? Most of you have all these ideas about what sharing with yourself is. Sharing with yourself simply means you quit judging you. It is that simple. It's not going to feel like this big flowery idea of, "Oh wow. I just shared with myself. Wow, that was good!"

Sharing with oneself is just a way of life. It will feel like no-thing. It will just be. Sharing with yourself is when you are one-hundred percent content and complete without having to have any external validation. You don't have to have anybody else tell you you're great. You just know that you're all right. That only comes from not judging yourself. But if you're still in a place of saying, "Well, I don't need all their support. I don't need all their validation. I'm really okay." This says you're probably not feeling okay, because you're having to make a fuss about saying that you are okay!
